Down by the river

Four days wandering Paris in the springtime (there’s a song in that), from La Villette in the far north to Parc Montsouris in the far south, stopping at the river as you do. The tourist hordes had yet to venture past the 1ème and Saint-Germain - that would come in June/July.

The shadows were truly wonderful, like claws pulling you in, especially around Place des Vosges in Le Marais. Again, within a few weeks, there would be far too many people to even consider shots like these.
